SDA Agency Maximizes Flood Prevention and Management in JakartaHe explained the flood was triggered by heavy rainfall, causing Angke River to overflow and resulting in roads and residential areas being inundated.
"To speed up the water receding, we urged the Water Resources Agency to perform water pumping using floating pumps," he explained.
By doing so, the flood could subside quickly and residents' activities return to normal.
"Afterward, we will immediately help residents clean up the remaining mud and trash," he stressed.
One of the residents, Gilang, appreciated the local government and related parties who have tried their best to address the flooding problem.
"Since the flood first occurred, they have been very helpful to residents, starting from evacuation, fulfilling food needs, and other services being well provided," he admitted.
